5 podcasts you need in your life

I’m obsessed with podcasts.

I’m quite new to the whole podcast thing as I’ve only started listening to them a little bit over a year ago, but it’s a real obsession.

There is something very relaxing being able to listen to educational and motivational content while doing the dishes or cooking for me. I used to put music while doing chores or dinner, but now (that I’m obsessed with being productive), I try to utilize the time I do mechanical tasks that don’t require mental concentration to listen to podcasts.

While there are so fucking many of them (700k as of 2019 to be exact), I only listen to very few. I like to keep my podcast list business, wellness, and self-development related rather than entertaining as I get my dose of entertainment from Netflix and Youtube.

So, as the obsession is real, I want to share my list with you guys today.

Let’s dive in.

QUIZ: What Type Of Blogger Are You? Have 60 Seconds And Want To Find Out? Take The Quiz!

Goal Digger by Jenna Kutcher

This podcast is my favorite out of all. I adore Jenna so fucking much; she’s my idol for sure. She’s a kind and sweet, beautiful, and simply brilliant woman when it comes to her business and personality equally.

Jenna is an educator and a total online marketing pro; she has incredible courses on Instagram, Pinterest, and Email marketing, as well as one on being a photographer (she used to be a wedding photographer). Her podcast Goal Digger is so fucking good if you’re looking for a good podcast on business, self-development, and anything online marketing related.

She has incredible solo episodes and many interviews with other women in business, and every episode has tons of value. Like really, she’s not messing around. Jenna even interviewed fucking Tony Robbins as her first male guest!

While Goal Digger podcast is more business-related, Jenna has some personal and more self-development and productivity-related episodes where she shares about her life and interviews excellent experts in different fields.

So, even if you’re not an entrepreneur yourself, I still think it’s worth to listen as everyone can find value in her material.

My top 3 favorite episodes:
  1. 280: Why Storytelling Will Increase Your Sales
  2. 265: This ONE Method Could Transform Your Email List
  3. 232: Without a College Degree, She Landed This Dream Job

The Skinny Confidential Him and Her Podcast

So, Him and Her Podcast is one of my faves right now; I’m obsessed with Lauryn and her husband, Michael.

When I first discovered Lauryn and her blog, The Skinny Confidential, I was in love. She’s a fucking rockstar lifestyle blogger, and her branding is so fucking good. While it took me a while to get a grip on her style of podcasting (they’re very raw and shameless, very different from Jenna), I love it.

Lauryn is a lifestyle blogger, published author, and podcaster, a brilliant human being. While her blog is more only her, she does the podcast with her husband, Michael, and they have beautiful dynamics together. It’s fun to listen to Him and Her Podcast as they’re very witty and sarcastic, but every episode if full of value and useful information.

They rarely do solo episodes, but the people that they interview are fucking amazing. Every interview is fun to listen to, and I always learn something new. Him and Her Podcast covers many topics, from everything lifestyle to skincare to business. I recommend to listen to them; you will not be disappointed.

My top 3 favorite episodes:
  1. 218: No, We Can’t Grab A Coffee! With Amy Landino
  2. 209: The Director Behind Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next Video
  3. 199: Bob Forrest’s True Hollywood Stories

Breaking Beauty Podcast

So, Breaking Beauty Podcast is new to my subscriptions, I’ve just recently found it via Dear Media Network owned by TSC husband, but I’m totally in love. Now, if you’re like me and love everything beauty-related and always look for product reviews and recommendations, this podcast is perfect for you.

Two ladies who created this podcast are fantastic hosts and very very informative when it comes to talking about beauty. I used to watch Youtube videos when I was looking for info on specific products and such, but I found that it’s not the most efficient use of my time.

Average Youtube video is 20-25 mins long, and I don’t have the patience or the time to be sitting and watching beauty videos like I used to. Instead, I listen to this podcast and get my beauty fix this way.

I usually listen to podcasts when I’m cleaning the house, cooking, or doing the dishes. Like if I’m doing something that doesn’t require my active brainpower to do, I’m listening to podcasts. Efficient AF.

My top 3 favorite episodes:
  1. 82: Clear Skin Secrets with Dr. Pimple Popper
  2. 79: Glossier Founder Emily Weiss
  3. 62: Do You Need CBD in Your Beauty Routine?

The Ground Up Show

K, so this podcast is hosted by the guy named Matt D’Avella, and he’s a minimalist I watch on Youtube for over a year now. He was one of the creators of the Minimalist documentary on Netflix (so good, you have to watch it if you haven’t already, EVEN if you’re not a minimalist).

So, as you’ve probably guessed, he’s a minimalist and lives a minimalistic lifestyle. I love his Youtube videos because they are not as much about minimalism as they are more about the whole self-development and being your best self thing.

So, his podcast has lots of valuable interviews on different topics that help you be better. He talks about anxiety, fitness, healthy living, and minimalism and provides TONS OF VALUE.

My top 3 favorite episodes:
  1. 111: Fitness Advice to Live By
  2. 110: Overcoming Anxiety
  3. 102: Becoming an Essentialist

Foxy Soul Podcast

Well, it wouldn’t be a full list if I wouldn’t add my own Foxy Soul Podcast, right? Shameless self-promo, I suppose.

But really, if you haven’t tuned in to listen and are interested in everything wellness, self-development, and being a fucking rockstar in life, you’re missing out! This whole audio thing is very new to me, but I was so excited to launch my podcast as I love bringing value to you guys.

On the podcast, I share my favorite wellness tips and what I’ve learned myself, you know, things like how to find a perfect skincare routine. I talk about personal things like learning to love myself and how can you learn to do the same.

We have episodes on finance, business, and funny sex stories. FS podcast is like having a coffee with your crazy naughty friend, you know? I love that vibe.

I hope you enjoy my list and found some new exciting podcasts to listen to while cooking or driving to work. Audio is massive, and there will be more and more podcasts in the future, for sure.

Also, I would love to hear your favorite podcasts, don’t forget to share in the comments with me. I’m always on the hunt for good ones.
